Kirk began his career in Manhattan with EDS’s Global Securities Industry Group. Projects influencing how he views the world include research on Electronic Communication Networks in 1998 and a project managing a team deploying global online credit card services in 1999. Returning to Texas in 2002 shortly after 9/11, Kirk took time to attend seminary in Waco, Texas. While in school, he started a mortgage brokerage in 2004 that would evolve into Brazos River Ventures. Brazos River Ventures grew into a small team that would develop, plan, build, and operate central Texas housing. The team worked over seven years to accumulate a modest portfolio of central Texas housing that became the seed for GetLoci in experience and initial capital. Kirk graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting (PPA ‘96) from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
